The President of Sherwood Sunrisers for 2016/17 is John Dye and if you share the same passion as him then John would like to invite you to come along to the Westminster Hotel on Mansfield Road Nottingham NG5 2EF and join us in making a difference in your local community at Sherwood Sunrisers.

For over nineteen years now a group of local people, wanting to make a difference in their community, have met on Tuesday mornings to do just that.  Bringing together their skills, interests, knowledge, abilities and passion this group have provided food for disadvantaged young people in Nottingham, provided kitchen facilities for homeless people in Sherwood and surrounding areas, transformed green spaces into beautiful gardens, decorated homes of disabled people who cannot do it themselves, collected over 1 tonne of clothing for needy people, provided a memory cafe for those in Sherwood with Alzheimers, supported the Robin Hood Marathon, provided volunteers for the craft fair at United Reform Church, helped at the Sherwood Festival and much, much more.

Although the people in this group changes regularly, the passion and drive does not and we are proud to say that we are the Rotary Club of Sherwood Sunrisers and we're for communities … are you?

To find out all about Rotary and our work in Sherwood, all you need to do is come along and see us on Tuesday morning. We've got busy lives outside Rotary too, so we start at 7am and we're finished by 8:30 ready to start the working day. We meet at the Westminster Hotel, with free parking at Lidl across the road and a cooked or continental breakfast served at 8am.
